http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif! Try going around and telling people you're a Saskatchewanian... I would but it wouldn't be nearly as mystical and mysterious because everyone around here is also a Saskatchewanian... maybe I should try saying I'm a Saskatchewanian Elficionado. That should get some sort of reaction.

That might be difficult for someone who completed only the first half of the grade nine sewing class. You planning on sewing all of them, KC?
How many people are going for sure, anyway?
Me not know how to sew! Me make shirts anyway! Know people who can sew! It be cheap!
Hmmm, I seeing those shirt designs made me hopeful that someone here might have connections with a custom-shirt making business.
Even if I don't get to go to the con, I'd still love to get one of those shirts...
Hmmmmm.... Well I know how to sew... Kinda-I've made my holoween costume two years ago-also a multatude of animals. But that would be a lot of work. Y'know what might cut down on your work KC? If you just get a simple black shirt and cut out the red peices and just sew them on. Then you wouldnt have to worry about makeing bad cuts on either the red or black t-shirts

Me like hockey?
< /painfully random >
Anyway, we could employ Bamfs to make them in a sort of sweat-shop type deal... No effort on our part with enough t-shirts for everyone on the Monument!
Aside from the moral and ethical complications, I see no problems with making it work.

Sweat shop Bamfs?!? Naw the cute little tykes would get tuckered out too easily. Now Boggies on the other hand ...(As long as there werent any mirrors close by)
Making em might be kinda tricky (and might cost a pretty penny depending on how many of us are definitely going.) If they came out nicely though, I think they'd look absolutely awesome!
KC and I spoke a while back about maybe just ordering some 'Crawler shirts as an option as well. I've got this cool slate-Blue one with an Adam Hughes drawn Nightcrawler on it.
(I may just scan the front so everyone could get an idea for how it looks.)
Just another option though. If we could get the 'classic' costume simulcrum to work I think it'd be great! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Oi.. remember me?
I'm crawlin' outta my hole in the wall to say.. "Oh, cool.. a get together for the Elf fans!"
I honestly think it'd be a great idea and even though I'm probably the super most quietest person on this board.. I'd really like to do this. I live in Orlando so I'd love to show everyone around.. but at the same time I can imagine how incredibly hard, financially, this would be for some.
When KC posted a possible price for the whole shebang, per person, I nearly fell outta my chair. And this comin' from Miss Bling Bling, Auntie Moneybags herself.
Now.. Sunday is my next day off and since I never do anything anyways.. I was thinkin' I could cruise to the different hotels and maybe get some estimates on room rentals and what kinda packages they have. Ya know, that kinda thing. It's always cheaper to stay someplace that's NOT close to the attractions, or downtown O-town even.
BTW.. failure to popular belief.. it does get cold down here in December. Maybe not frozen digits cold.. but cold enough. I understand if that's the only time a lot of people have off from school but it's also a time that's in between holidays and the major theme parks always have events going on so hotel rooms might be hard to come by. or maybe I'm just talkin' outta my hinder.
I'll hit some hotels and see what they've got and maybe see when they think a good time for a gathering would be.. money and school-aged kids bein' key issues.
Not to diss school-aged kids or nothin'. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Do you think maybe we could discounts at some hotels since it would be "out of season"? Also, I have the first sketch of the t-shirt finished, hopefully it'll be up next week. Unfortunately, it is the type that would have to be screened, and that might get costly considering how many colors wind up on the design. I know a place around where I live who did the shirts for my high school, but I don't know how much they charge.

I have that shirt! You can get it over at http://www.graphittidesigns.com/ though its a little expensive... I got it locally (comic stores sometimes carry 'em) but I know not everyone has a good comic shop (heheh). I really recommend this shirt - so pretty! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
